Dr Allan Lam

Dr Allan Lam graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 2010 and was awarded with a clinical interstate placement in rural NSW during his studies. After 5 years in practice, he became a clinical tutor to final year dental students at the University of Adelaide.

His range of experience includes nursing homes, mobile dental clinics and the public sector, both in South Australia and New South Wales.

With a prior career in Software Engineering, he worked at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and various corporates, the largest being Westpac. These days he uses this IT background to improve treatment outcomes for his clients.

Allan is the principal of Brookvale Dental and is known for dealing with highly anxious/nervous clients who have had bad experiences in the past. This also makes him great with children who have a fear of visiting the dentist. Parent’s are amazed by his ability to get along so well with their children. Having two of his own probably helps!

He is passionate about helping people who have neglected their teeth for far too long due to anxiety. He uses his skills and further training in implant dentistry and orthodontics to help patients achieve the smile they want. In fact, performing smile makeovers is his great passion and getting clients involved in the process is one his top priorities.

When he isn’t working behind a mask, Allan enjoys the great outdoors with his wife and two young kids, whether that be at the beach, swimming laps at the pool, or fishing the local rocks in the Northern Beaches.
